An Activating Time: Mid-June 2025
Restructuring Our Vision for the Future
We’re continuing to see a lot of astrological energy impacting all of us! Try to work with the energy proactively and set the stage for the upcoming Summer Solstice and New Moon. Read on for the highlights of the upcoming week.
Mars Enters Virgo and Sextiles Jupiter
Mars (finally!) leaves Leo on June 17 and enters practical, discerning, analytical Virgo for the next several weeks. The next few weeks are a good time for taking practical action that supports getting things done. Mars will sextile Jupiter on Sunday, which is helpful for accomplishing things and getting support.
Jupiter Squares Saturn and Neptune
Importantly, this week, Jupiter (belief, faith, hope, expansion, growth) is squaring Saturn (structure, authority, limits, boundaries, reality) and Neptune (vision, imagination, boundarylessness, compassion, empathy). Just last week, Jupiter moved into Cancer, a sign it loves occupying. But before it can settle into its year-long journey through this sign, it (and we) must contend with Saturn and Neptune.
With Jupiter square Saturn and Neptune this week, we may be feeling that things are falling apart, that all of our efforts towards growth and expansion are hitting a roadblock. There may be a sense of disillusionment or a feeling that it’s impossible to know what’s real or true.
But what if, instead of fighting what’s falling apart, we recognize that it’s paving the way for something better? We’re being invited to restructure our vision for the future, to reevaluate our beliefs and come into closer alignment with what we want to do to grow and expand moving forward. At its highest expression, these two transits together support creating an inspired vision for the future that is grounded, real, and resourced.
The Jupiter-Saturn square also asks us to reflect on any decisions we made around late December 2020, when these two planets met up at 0 degrees of Aquarius. (Some of you attended my “Grand Conjunction” webinar then, which discussed how this seeded an important 20-year cycle. Time flies!) What kind of progress have you made on any goals you set then?
The Sun Enters Cancer and Squares Saturn and Neptune
The Sun moves into Cancer on Sunday, the longest day of the year. It immediately squares Saturn, and a couple of days later it squares Neptune. These transits could bring feelings of limitation, disappointment, confusion, or malaise for a few days. But that energy leads into a juicy New Moon next Wednesday, June 25 (6:31 PDT, at 4 degrees 7 minutes of Cancer).
New Moon in Cancer
The New Moon will be conjunct Jupiter, sextile Mars, and square Saturn and Neptune, bringing up all the themes discussed above. The conjunction to Jupiter brings confidence, the sextile to Mars brings motivation, and the square to Saturn and Neptune brings friction.
New Moons are about new beginnings and setting intentions. At this New Moon, what intentions can you set around structuring your vision for the future around inspired, creative ideas that support the highest good of all involved?
This New Moon occurred at the same date and degree in 1987 and 2006. What was going on for you then? The other planetary signatures are different, but you may notice a throughline with any themes from those years.
