A Cosmic Invitation: From Fear Into Love
Dream a New Dream, and Take Courageous Action on It
I’m sure you’ve noticed that we’re in the midst of a lot of turmoil at this time, both in the United States and globally. The turmoil isn’t surprising given the major cosmic shift that’s happening as all of the outer planets and the karmic lunar nodes shift signs between November 2024 and July 2025. The astrological energy will continue to be intense for the rest of this month (and beyond) and offers a powerful invitation to each of us.
The Astrology of the Second Half of March
The second half of March features a dance between Pisces and Aries. We have an emotional Total Lunar Eclipse on March 14, with the Sun at 24 degrees of Pisces opposite the Moon at 24 degrees of Virgo. On March 15, the ruler of the Lunar Eclipse, Mercury, stations retrograde at 9 Aries, joining Venus retrograde in that sign. On March 20, the Spring Equinox is ushered in by the Sun’s ingress into 0 degrees of Aries. On March 29, we’ll have a Partial Solar Eclipse at 9 degrees of Aries. And on March 30, Neptune, which has been in its ruling sign of Pisces since 2012, moves into Aries for the first time in 164 years; it was last in that sign from 1861-1875. I’m sure the significance of this shift isn’t lost on those of us familiar with American history.
What does all of this mean? We’re being called to wake up, make a choice, and take action on our dreams. What that looks like will be different for each of us; your natal chart points the way.
While our paths will differ, each of us may feel a bit of a breakdown before our breakthrough. March 14th’s Lunar Eclipse invites us to take a good look at our anxiety so we can break free from it and realize that any crisis of faith carries with it the potential for redemption. I say this not to ignore the serious and sobering challenges that surround us, but to inspire you to lean into whatever action feels aligned to meet those challenges.
As Neptune moves into Aries, we’re invited to dream a new dream (Pisces) and take courageous action on it (Aries). We get to choose whether we embody the high side of Neptune (compassion, wholeness, forgiveness, unconditional love, and a recognition that we’re all connected) or the low side of the planet (escapism, addiction, delusion, victimhood, and paranoia). And as Saturn joins Neptune in Aries in May, we’ll be invited to take responsibility for manifesting our dreams into concrete reality.
If a dream has been whispering to you, now’s the time to move towards it with vision and courage. And with Pluto in Aquarius, if you can find like-minded others you can work with to achieve it, all the better.
